Gloria Scott's Mother

Gloria Scott’s Mother

In 1996, Gloria Scott began searching for in-home care to help her mother during her recovery from an illness. She discovered there were few options available in the Indianapolis area for finding caregivers who would provide reliable, non-medical care. It didn’t take long to learn she wasn’t alone; many of her friends were also struggling to find the same type of support—quality, in-home companion care that enabled their loved ones to live independently.

Seeing a real need, Gloria founded Senior Home Companions to provide clients what they were looking for: reliable, exceptional care and much-needed peace of mind. Gloria’s husband, John Scott, MD, a well-known neurologist at IU Health, provided Gloria with perspective and insight into the growing challenge of patients suffering from memory loss. Gloria quickly developed relationships with people throughout Indianapolis and the surrounding areas who were in need of quality, dependable care.

Since then, Senior Home Companions has provided over 1,000 families in Indianapolis and the surrounding counties care that helps loved ones live the fullest, most satisfying lives possible. Along the way, we’ve kept our focus on what we know best—non-medical companion care.  It’s how we’re fulfilling our vision of being the premier company for tailoring solutions for well being at home, while fulfilling our mission to enhance our clients’ quality of life by connecting them with exceptional caregivers.
